Mentorship Program

The Wisconsin Arts Board is seeking submissions from Wisconsin artists interested in participating in the Percent for Art Mentorship Program. This program gives Wisconsin artists, who have not previously received commissions with the Percent for Art Program, a chance to be trained to compete successfully in Percent for Art commissions, and other public art commissions as well. The program commissions site-responsive artwork for architectural and facilities landscape settings. Artists will be expected to respond to client’s interests with aesthetic solutions. Wisconsin artists working in 3-D and relief sculpture, installation, clay, or textiles and who are not currently involved in a degree granting educational program are invited to participate.

u  Deadline: TBA

Architecturally Integrated

When there are Architecturally Integrated Project openings, experienced Midwest artists will be invited to apply for listing in a pre-screened roster. Currently, there are no openings.

Direct Purchase

The Wisconsin Arts Board’s Percent for Art program is pleased to announce that the new 2009-2010 Direct Purchase program is currently accepting applications!

Facilities with Percent for Art allocations of less than $15,000 participate in the Direct Purchase Program. Through this program, facilities view and acquire works of art from a much broader sampling of Wisconsin artists.

This year’s Direct Purchase round has a few changes; the biggest change being that the entire application process and program will be online. Please be sure to thoroughly read the entire prospectus explaining all the changes, the application process and the program in greater detail.

Here is the link to the Direct Purchase Web site/ application page which is hosted by Portal WI: http://portalwisconsin.org/percent/

Please feel free to pass the word onto other Wisconsin artists who you feel may be interested in this program. If you have any questions about the content of the prospectus, please contact the Direct Purchase Coordinator at arts.directpurchase@wisconsin.gov.
