The Arts Challenge Initiative (ACI) - Minority Program is intended to spur the fund-raising efforts of
minority arts organizations by providing state funds to organizations whose
fund-raising efforts meet or exceed
the total amount of eligible income raised in the previous year.
Grant Writing Assistance
The Arts Board staff is available for grant writing assistance throughout the year. The staff can explain and clarify eligibility requirements, review criteria, and definitions. The staff can also
discuss proposals and alternative ideas. Discussions with the staff, however, do not influence funding
decisions.
First-time applicants are encouraged to contact the Arts Board prior to applying. The Arts Board cannot guarantee assistance for applicants calling immediately prior to the deadline.
