'Making It Home' Cultural Tour

Wisconsin Teachers of Local Culture once again will offer a cultural tour of Wisconsin as a professional development opportunity for educators. These tours are designed to allow K-12 teachers to deeply investigate the local culture of the state or one of its regions. The 2009 tour will be co-hosted by the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.
 

Minwaajimo--Telling a Good Story: Preserving Ojibwe Treaty Rights

The Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission will celebrate its 25th anniversary with Minwaajimo. This will be an educational event, looking back and looking forward.  It is a community event and reunion, and a celebratory event recognizing the continuing exercise of Ojibwe treaty rights. Teacher continuing education credits will be available.
