Shoe Fly!
Shoe Fly! is friends and neighbors from the Kickapoo
Valley who have been kicking up their heels and vibrating their strings
together for the past fifteen years. What you see and hear has its roots
in the cultures of the Appalachian mountains and Ireland. Past
performances include the Great River Festival, La Crosse; Tamarack Dance
Series, Duluth; and Gays Mills Folk Festival, Gays Mills. Shoe Fly! offers
the following: clogging performances (15-60 minutes), clogging workshops,
old-fashioned barn dancing (with caller/teacher), or any combination of
the above. Accompanied by accomplished musicians who play American
old-time and Irish dance music, Shoe Fly! members enjoy sharing their
craft with people of all ages and levels.
