Gerri Gurman

Gerri
Gurman, a performer, choreographer, and educator has taught dance and
creative drama for over thirty years at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, Jefferson Middle School, Memorial High School,
Middleton High School, the Creative Learning Preschool, and Hawthorne
Elementary School. With the Call For Peace Drum and Dance Company since
1993, she has presented “Miriam’s Dance” in Germany, Russia, Israel,
Egypt, and at the World Summit for the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome
in November, 2003. A specialist integrating dance and drama with academic
curricula, she has also created a Tai Chi program focusing on stress
management for children and is currently conducting “Tai Chi Animal
Frolics” workshops in schools, libraries, and museums.
