Dance Company’s 29-year mission promotes performance and understanding of
modern dance. KDC concerts are inspiring and entertaining. Company
dancers, choreographers, directors Lisa Thurrell and Robert Cleary, strive
to bring outstanding modern dance to beginners, enthusiasts, and
professionals alike. Their passion and bold approach to performing and
teaching make Kanopy shows and workshops exhilarating. Modern dance
employs satire, athleticism, improvisation and fun! While encouraging
creative expression, Kanopy offers witty, intensely crafted, exciting
programs. Kanopy’s ensemble dancers embody the joy of dance. Their
in-school performances are created and executed by young dancers for
younger dancers, a unique opportunity for everyone.
