Hardy Garrison, “THE STORY GUY”
An
award-winning storyteller and popular children’s & family entertainer, Hardy
Garrison has been enthusiastically “spinnin’ yarns, pullin’ legs, and bustin’
guts” since 1983. Audiences of all ages will delight in his animated retellings
of multicultural folktales, fractured fairy tales, pourquoi (how & why) stories,
and trickster tales, as well as other rollicking narratives. (“I think you tell
NEATO stories!” says one fourth-grader named Anna.) Presented in an energetic
and humorous telling style, THE STORY GUY’s shows feature a colorful chorus of
character voices, and are often infused with a healthy dose of audience
participation. Performances are also flexible in length to accommodate
programming needs, and can be geared to a particular theme, if desired. Lively
storytelling workshops are also available!
