Ladies Must Swing
We are “Ladies Must Swing” (and swing we must) playing
big band swing music from the 1920s-1960s. LMS is an 18 piece all-female
big band that spreads enthusiasm and joy wherever we play. Our audiences
range from young to old, so we educate, reincarnate, and exhilarate. Some
of our long standing gigs are at Olbrich Gardens in Madison, Taste Of
Madison, as well as playing Hangar Dances at Wisconsin Aviation, where
vintage clothing (WWII Era) is encouraged. We love to get you “In The
Mood” while taking a trip to “Tuxedo Junction” on the “A” Train. Also
featured is the “One O’clock Jump” that was a favorite of the Sweethearts
of Rhythm band that toured and did USO shows in the 1940s.
