The Madison Brass Quintet and The Impact of Brass

The Madison Brass Quintet Always popular, The Madison Brass is one of Wisconsin’s finest and most versatile musical groups! With a friendly rapport with their audiences, The Madison Brass combines the finest in brass chamber music with superb entertainment! They perform selections from the Baroque, Renaissance and classical periods as well as music from the 19th century featuring music of the American Civil War. From the 20th century, they play original pieces for brass quintet as well as special arrangements of Dixieland, Ragtime, Blues, Sousa marches, Big Band selections, music from Hollywood & Broadway, Pops and light jazz.

The Madison Brass performs many types of custom-designed programs. In October, they feature their Oktoberfest program and in Nov./Dec. they feature their special T’was the Brass Before Christmas programs. They perform Concert in the Park programs during the summer, and during the school months play for K-12 schools. They even have a Senior Citizen Spectacular program and special programs for historical events.
