Dorothy Fisher
Dorothy
Fisher combines her talents as a poet, artist and writer to accentuate the
positives in the Black Community. Ten years ago she founded the Black
Clowns Association using her own financial resources. Through this
undertaking, she hopes to give children a “ray of sunshine” despite their
pain and suffering in the face of rising violence throughout these
communities. Ms. Fisher has been featured at the African World Festival
(three years) and Summer-fest (one year). Proposed activities include
helping children develop clown personae, teaching them the art of mime,
comic movement, and other clown behavior.
